Drew Kingston, Ph.D., ATSAF is a licensed psychologist in the state of California and is also registered as a psychologist in the province of Ontario, Canada. Dr. Kingston has provided psychological and consultation services in Canada and the United States for more than 20 years. He previously worked for Correctional Service Canada developing and researching programming for individuals convicted of sexual and non-sexual offenses and has since provided direct clinical services in federal and provincial corrections, forensic psychiatric settings, and community corrections.
Dr. Kingston is currently an adjunct clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McMaster University. He was previously awarded the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers’ Early Career Research Award and has been designated a fellow of the ATSA organization. Dr. Kingston is an ad-hoc reviewer for many journals and is on the editorial boards of the Archives of Sexual Behavior and Sexual Abuse. Dr. Kingston’s predominant research and clinical interests are in the areas of compulsive sexual behavior, atypical sexual interests, and sexual offending. Dr. Kingston has published more than 65 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a SARATSO certified trainer in the Level of Service/Case Management Inventory and regularly consults and trains on issues related to forensic and correctional assessment and treatment.
